Schlumberger Ace Base Expansion

AMANA was appointed the development of an integrated oil field services base for Schlumberger in ICAD 2 industrial area, Abu Dhabi, UAE with a built up area of 23,250m² which caters to onshore rigs in UAE.

As a generic work flow process on the base, tools arrive from site tagged. Based on the tag, the tools are off loaded into the respective segments, scanned, logged, inspected, washed and sent for required calibration / maintenance. It is lastly tested before it’s sent back to the rigs. Due to the heavy loads from the overhead cranes and additional floors, the building steel structure was designed to rest on piled foundations.

The Project consisted of the following facilities:

Administration Building – 1,380m²

Main Workshop – 14,500m²

Mechanical Workshop Cameron/MI SWACO/SBS – 5,500m²

Shared Calibration – 700m²

Gate Houses – 55m²

Ancillary Buildings: Substations, Water Tank and Pump Room, Wash Water Recycling Plant Room, Drainage Lifting Pump Station, Switching Station – 1,000m²
